Transforming Skin into Art
Sweet Cicada Tattoo focuses on custom work, reworks, and long-form projects that benefit from patience and collaboration. Tattooing is a permanent process, and each project is approached with care, planning, and respect for the medium.
Not every idea is a good fit, and not every project should be rushed. The goal is to create work that holds up over time—visually, technically, and personally.

Reality Checks
(Please Read Before Inquiring)
• Cover-ups and reworks are limited by what already exists in the skin. Not every tattoo can be fully hidden.
• Larger projects and reworks often require multiple sessions and healing time between appointments.
• Exact replicas of reference images are not guaranteed; all work is interpreted and adapted to the body.
• Healing, aftercare, and client consistency directly affect long-term results.
• Sweet Cicada Tattoo reserves the right to decline projects that are not a good fit stylistically or technically.
Clear communication and realistic expectations make for better work and a better experience for everyone involved.

How Booking Works
Reworks & Cover-Ups
All tattoo sessions begin with a review process:
-
Ideas are submitted through E-mail or Instagram and evaluated for fit, scope, and feasibility before scheduling begins.
-
Once a project is accepted, a consultation may be required depending on complexity. A deposit is required to secure all appointments and is applied toward the final cost of the tattoo. Deposits protect design time and scheduled sessions and are non-refundable.
-
Custom designs are prepared close to the appointment date to allow flexibility and ensure the work fits the body properly. Minor revisions are included; significant changes to the concept may require rescheduling and a new deposit.
-
Rescheduling requires advance notice. Late arrivals, same-day cancellations, or no-shows may result in forfeiture of the deposit. Final pricing is based on size, placement, complexity, and time, with the remaining balance due at the end of the session.
Reworking an existing tattoo requires patience, planning, and realistic expectations.
Whether a piece feels unfinished, outdated, or no longer reflects who you are, reworks are approached as an evolution rather than an erasure.
Rework projects may involve blast-overs, increasing contrast, soft cover-ups, or rebuilding a design entirely. Many require multiple sessions and a collaborative approach to achieve lasting results.
All rework inquiries must include clear photos of the existing tattoo taken in natural light. Consultations are often required to assess what is possible and determine the best path forward.
Deposits
A deposit is required to secure all tattoo appointments. Deposits reserve design time and a dedicated session on the calendar and are applied toward the final cost of the tattoo.
Deposits are non-refundable. With proper notice, a deposit may be transferred once to reschedule an appointment. Significant changes to the original concept after a design has been started may require a new deposit.
Deposits are forfeited in the event of same-day cancellations, no-shows, or late arrivals that prevent the session from taking place.
Final pricing is based on the scope of the project and time required. Any remaining balance is due at the end of the session.
Rescheduling & Cancellations
Appointments are scheduled in advance and include reserved design and studio time. If you need to reschedule, advance notice is required.
One reschedule is permitted per deposit with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice. Rescheduled appointments must be booked within a reasonable timeframe, subject to availability. Same-day cancellations, late arrivals that prevent the session from taking place, or no-shows will result in forfeiture of the deposit. Deposits are non-refundable. If repeated rescheduling occurs or communication breaks down, I reserve the right to decline future booking.
Clear communication and adequate notice allow sessions to run smoothly and respect the time set aside for each project.
